Self-avowed "passionate feminist" Kirstie Allsopp has urged young women to get a flat, a boyfriend, and have babies before embarking on a career.

I think she's talking about an ideal where possible and going on her experience, but Christ, all I know is I can't stand my job and the people in it. I've little idea what else I could do work-wise that I'd enjoy, never mind worrying about kids and a flat and all the rest of it. At 27 I was just happy to have a job!

I read that earlier but decided not to post it.
She makes me angry. most people don't have parents to pay for a house for them.
Also I just turned 28, and to be honest, I'm still not in the mindset for kids.

I can kinda see her angle but I completely disagree with it.

There are some valid points to what she's said - there are known risks for women who have children in their say 40's or later. But she doesn't really offer any realistic solutions to the problem. And she seems to have completely taken some things for granted which someone without the massive advantage of being the daughter of a what, Baron? can't.

Huh? Her daddy is married to a rich older guy? Fair, enough... whatever floats his boat, I guess
