It was a fair interpretation of the book but they missed so much out. It could've been longer but from what I've seen on IMDB comment boards it may have got people interested in reading the books which can't be a bad thing.

They missed out some key characters but overall I enjoyed it.

I have that on one of my VOD lists I believe...

Constantine - I'd never seen all of this before. Considering it hasn't got much of a plot, it at least keeps it together by being well-paced and having CGI that still stands up today (even with dubious streaming). It's not amazing by any stretch of the imagination and Keanu is playing Keanu as usual, but it's nowhere near as bad as some would claim.

I really enjoyed Constantine. I thought some of the characterisations were great.
The end was a bit deus ex machina (or demon ex machina if you like), but I'd watch it again

The Heat - 'It's got a sweary, overweight woman - that's funny, right?'

Um, no. It was sh!te.

Edge of Tomorrow - 8/10
It's pretty much Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers - much, much better than expected though, with some great humour in places too. Probably one of the better Tom Cruise films I've seen; and, of course, Emily Blunt is in it.

Loved this.
Haven't read the books (shocker, I know) but without that to colour my judgement this film is a solid 4 out of 5 for me, and that's about as good as it gets.
There's some really cheesy stuff going on with the main relationship in the film, but I actually thought that all that was quite endearing.

The relationship between Odd and Stormy was very cheesy but that made them even more loveable. Without spoiling it for other people Stormy does come up a lot in the rest of the books. If you ever did read a book or books ( ;)) I hope you'd chose this series as they are really great.

The reviews for the new Transformers... I've read five and they all say the same thing; the dialogue is even worse than the previous films, and that the film is staggeringly boring.

Please let this be the first to see a decline at box office - I want a GOOD Transformers film!

In Security - 20 minutes in and not a single laugh, gave up. The film's only an hour and a half long...

The Station Agent which is available through lovefilm on demand.

A sweet little sketch of a film, shows the anger that 99% of people have for their existence, to a greater or lesser degree. Peter Dinklage wins your admiration and sets his career for the stars.

Transformers 2 is actually even worse than I remember it being.

In the Name of the King.
Sometimes, only an Uwe Boll film will do.

It's so laughably insane that it's watchable.

I'm going to try Captain Phillips again, between sh1tty Sky Now and the film's slightly rubbish characterisation and viewer hand-holding, I didn't get far last night...
