Received the feedback from the observed session which took place this morning. The students think I'm brilliant. They told me, the observer and their vocational tutor the same thing.

Didn't stop me from getting a crap grade. I'm about to write the best ever grievance letter. I have officially had ENOUGH!

AAARRRGGGHHH!

http://classicrock.teamrock.com/news/20 ... -safety-ad

We've had these ads for more than a decade - at this point, they're just darkly funny. There's also no evidence that they work! If anything, less people being able to afford drink and/or fuel will make more of an impression on the fatality numbers. And now they're gonna associate one of the best songs ever with what's likely to be a load of crap that people will fast forward through after first watch, or switch channels.

Emphasize the importance of the client? Or just keep handing the work back to him if that's feasible.

Argos - bad enough they can't even show the correct picture for what they're trying to sell, they also don't have it in stock.

I found that for electronics, Argos has slightly different version from the standard product which they sell cheaper, I expect that if one delved in the details, these are much lower specs.

All the big stores have a slightly different part number to the regular versions that manufacturers make. They looks the same but they're different inside

I've noticed that with various items over the years - Argos would have one variation, Littlewoods would have another, and the manufacturer website would have no listing/info of either.

The other thing they do is have a different part / model number for exactly the same item, so they can always do the "You won't find this cheaper anywhere else" spiel safe in the knowledge that no one else actually sells that part number.

They all do it. Before Comet died they were selling a camera that was identical in every way to another apart from model number, so something like LX500 in every other shop and LX505 in Comet (it wasn't, that's just an example).

The problem was the 'LX500' cost £90 everywhere but the Comet 'LX505' was £90 REDUCED FROM RRP £230!!!!!

On a similar, note why can Dixons sell a Duty Free item for $X at Heathrow, and sell the same item full tax for $X in Slough High Street!

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

What they save in tax they keep as profit.
