						Don't talk to me about insurance... Alex, (the 18 year old son) passed his driving test yesterday. I tried to add him to my car insurance. The car is worth a little over £2,000. they wanted about three and a half bleedin' grand! Robbing Bastrads! Turns out it's actually cheaper for him to buy a brand new car than get insured on my eight year old Citroen C3. What a joke...

						I'm guessing the comparison is between the monthly premium for the insurance, versus the monthly payment for a cheap new car spread over (typically) 3 years on finance.
