I didn't know that homeplug powerline network adapters work with different models.  I had a pair of 200mbps models set up for the kids' Xbox and just bought a pair of 500s for my PC. I have a 500 connected to the router and the remaining adapters are all running off that. Saved me a few bob. I had just assumed that they were paired and wouldn't talk to additional units.

I've got a set I'm hanging on to should I really need them - genius of a father situated the new VM router BEHIND the TV on the floor AND in the dumbest socket array you could imagine. I cannot use my e-cig in the office. If I do, eventually some panicked looking caretakers bundle through the door looking for a fire, and get very exercised indeed about 'isolating and resetting' a system of some sort.

Since I started using mine at work at least a couple of dozen students have stopped smoking and using them instead. That Guardians of the Galaxy appears on Thursday and with me taking any excuse to go to the cinema recently, I'll be able to see it for three quid. I can't say I'm expecting much though.

Not, strictly speaking, something new that I learnt today but... I get drunk really quickly these days and that confuses the auto correct on my mobile.
I could probably still drink all night but I'm already feeling a bit... warm lol
