You know, there are very few comics I give a flying monkeys about these days, but that one I would quite like to read. Is it out at the mo?

I think I liked MMPR best. It all went downhill after the first movie.

Love the video. The only thing I'd criticise is that it would be better not to have Batman just standing there.

I've done that in a fist fight and let the other bloke attack, but that was after I'd previously thumped him round the back of the neck and I blocked his next punch mid-air and he figured out I'd frigging kill him (it's a long story lol). Machine guns? I'd have stood still through fear! But there is a theory that you bat a gun a few inches either way (no pun intended) and you're tickety-boo, which would actually be the big lad's style. Presumably he knew the arc of fire in that way that he does

As it says, this volume reprints the best of Superman starting from Action Comics No.1 and coming up to date with pcernie's favourite writer, Grant Morrison, from 2012.

I really wish I could read the original runs but I can't take them seriously; they're so of their time. Though nothing tops, 'Tony Stark is the dishiest thing since Rock Hudson!'.

It's the same with Batman etc, where something like Dredd doesn't have the hipster language or setting. I generally read from the 70s onwards, and some of those are tough going because with declining sales nothing was off-limits! Though less of an issue with Batman, certainly.

Yes, Grant Morrison in his time has even managed to unnecessarily complicate Superman. Why can't he come up with new villains? That would somewhat suit his 'I've got a grand idea but no follow-through' notions.
