I only paid £2.50 to see Hercules.
Asking for a refund was on my mind.

If you're stupid enough to go to the cinema these days then I'm afraid you have to suffer in silence :D ;)

Call me crazy, but I actually enjoy getting out of the house and going somewhere to watch movies on a vast screen in the dark with a box of popcorn. Silly I know.

I'm sure the going out experience is great but I was really referring to the quality of films. None of the block busters appeal to me and films with decent stories and strong characters are few and far between.

It wasn't any reflection on you Alex. I'm just being rather brutal with my comments these days lol.

And Caz has beaten me to it...

Me too, but I think Caz is hinting at just how awful some of the films can be, even for what you paid. I mean that says it all

The best film I've seen all year was Captain America 2. Who'da thunk it? Everything else was 'should have waited for Netflix there'. Speaking for myself, I'm sick of having to redefine crap never mind average.

I have to admit that it will take either a damn good film or something my daughter wants to watch to get me to the cinema these days. We tend to wait for the blu-ray / dvd and watch it on the home cinema. Projector, surround sound and popcorn machine for the win lol

There were two Hercules films this year, one with a pretty-boy and one with a menacing Rock. Were they equally as bad as each other?

Both looked pretty bad IMO. One of them was directed by Renny Harlin who's seriously gone off the boil, and I think the Rock one might have had Brett Rather IIRC...

This is the one I saw.
And 'menacing' isn't the word I'd use. Hilarious might be.

Saw that, but I really can't be doing with cringe 'comedy'. It wasn't as bad in Extras though.

Did you see Derek? That was an amazing show. I love Ricky.

I've only seen the pilot episode, but that was enough to make me watch series 1... when I get the time. Still, with a month or so off work, I might just fit it in. (You can make up your own jokes ;) )

Has anyone seen Cloud Atlas?
I've read a review which suggested it was quite good, but also quite hard work.
Anyone?
