East coast mainline pays taxpayers £1bn sparking fresh reprivatisation fury

Summary :
ECML privatised by tory government. Two different private companies try to run it with public subsidies (i.e. are given piles of money by the tax payer) but still make a massive cockup of it and in the end the private sector gives up, leaving the public sector to pick up the mess.
Public sector picks up the mess, runs it for six years and makes £1 billion cumulative profit which goes back to the exchequer (i.e all of us who are tax payers).
Tory government decides the best thing that can be done with it is to privatise it again and rushes the privatisation through so it happens before the next election.

So come on, explain that lot.

Because the Tory's are orchestrating the most audacious smash and grab in the whole of human history.

you think how they have managed privatisation of energy, railways and other nationalised industries is bad.

just wait and see what they intend for the NHS, it has already started with dentistry, opticians and prescriptions
GP's are next and are in the firing line now, then the rest will follow one by one A&E's then the ambulance service

they will overwhelm the system by allowing anybody and everybody access to the NHS
then overload it with management which will remove massive amounts of finance away from the main NHS services

its already started and will continue until the NHS folds then the will use the same old reasons 'not fit for purpose' it must be better in the private sector ...

Because that's not what it's for at all.

that is correct
the NHS is to provide for the people paying for it
a National Health Service not a World Health Service

not anyone or everyone that gets off a plane/ship
unless they happen to have medical insurance

and if they do not have that insurance they would be refused entry ...
