With the passing of Robin Williams, what's your favourite thing the actor has been in? I loved 1hr Photo and while not a vehicle for the actor, The adventures of Baron Munchausen will always remain a favourite film of mine. Mark Edited due to sleepy stupidity.

  I've never seen any of his films the whole way through I'm sad to say (Aladdin doesn't really count in that sense) as I always saw them on Four or something and the ad breaks do my head in. Soooo many memories of his stuff from growing up. Mork in Happy Days, then Mork & Mindy, then seeing his stand up stuff, then his feature film work. The guy had a huge impact on my understanding of what comedy was, how it worked, what people would laugh at. And make no mistake, people did. Bill Hicks is often the touchstone for stand ups, and while I'm not trying to belittle his legacy in anyway, but perhaps Williams stuff needs to be reassessed.
It became fashionable to pick on William's style of delivery and the sometimes overly mawkish subjects of his work, but the thing is people never pick on the people that don't matter.
Bit gutted, I'll be honest.

His stand-up. I had a great video of him at a small club in San Francisco in the 80s. He was absolutely brilliant, a lot of improv and so much energy.
The first film of his I saw was The World according to Garp. Dead Poet's Society always stuck with me, and Good Morning Vietnam is probably the closest to his stand-up.
There are so many great films, a few not so good as well. Toys is one of my favourites, although it was critically panned.

Heard this on the radio when my alarm went off this morning. Sad way to wake up.
Don't think I've actually seen many of his films. A lot of his stuff I have seen he was doing voice work for. Despite being known for his comedy he could certainly play creepy very well - 1 Hour Photo and Insomnia spring to mind.
Sad, very sad.

Hilariously funny with a razor-sharp wit, and he proved he could turn his hand to serious roles, but prone to substance abuse and depression - another flawed genius.
What a damned shame - I'll never forget Mork & Mindy.

"The World According To Garp". It's a great story (even if the film version is quite a bit different to the book) and Robin Williams plays the character of T S Garp with restraint showing that's he's capable of much more than his more popular roles.

It's oddly appropriate but I do rather like 'What Dreams May Come'. Not his most famous film or his best, but I do love a film with a literary/artistic bent.
