http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/09/08/n ... t-revealedIt's a case of 'take my money!' since I have one of the previous sets and want a spare. But no, Sony Europe? Pfft. And Amazon.com won't ship it. Sony make some good kit but they are riddled with clueless morons when it comes to selling it

I'm sure it was only the other day I got an email from Sony inviting me to 'come back to Home.'

It as always doomed as soon as it wasn't on the PS4 at launch.

Sony, FAILing at a global level http://www.computerandvideogames.com/47 ... -reported/http://www.computerandvideogames.com/47 ... ns-report/They've some balls on them asking for more with Plus; it's bullsh1t enough you have to pay to go online, only to find their system's held together with manky string after them saying they needed the money to invest in it! All whilst charging £60 for a digital game etc.

I happened to be off this week so I was on the playstation quite a lot. The login issue lasted about 10 minutes, at about 11 AM. Not exactly grounds to be waving pitchforks in the air, frankly.

It happens way too often though. It's especially annoying half way through a film... I thought it was my ISP but my mates are with different providers.

It continues to be a pain that PSN's 'at risk' window is peak time in Europe. They had a chance to fix that when the PS4 came out and completely failed to do so. Course, if you want to play DriveClub, it doesn't matter anyway

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/47 ... em-update/Not surprising at this point... All it's done for me personally is add a load of what I'd call 'advert icons'* I have to zoom past to get to the games and services I'm paying for, and a warning telling me not to pull the power cord as I'm, you know, using the controller to put the PS4 into standby. Muppets. * Music Unlimited? Glorified tech demos and game sharing? I couldn't give a stuff and I should have the option to at least hide that sh1t, you know, like the way they wanted to tidy everything into libraries?

I think there's an issue here that they've changed the 'sleep' behaviour. They've changed the name as well although I'm not sure that's significant.
Before firmware 2, when the PS4 was asleep it always showed the yellow LED strip. When I got up this AM it looked like my PS4 had shut itself down entirely due to some sort of failure - the strip was unlit. But I tapped the 'on/playstation' button on the controller and up it came no problem.
I suspect they've put in some kind of 'deep sleep' mode that shuts the light off entirely, and haven't bothered telling anyone that it's changed. I've only read some of the reports, but are people actually trying to switch them back on, or are they just assuming something has gone wrong and pulling the power cable?
It could also be that some of the time the 'deep sleep' mode is causing the console to somehow lose bluetooth connectivity to the pad, so the pad can't switch the PS4 back on. It's be easy to forget there's a power button on the front, because in normal use there's absolutely no reason to use it.
Basically, are we sure the PS4's are actually shutting themselves off, or does it just look like it?
