Is it wrong for children to see their parents naked? I don't think it is. I saw my parents naked as a child and I frequently have to get changed in front of children at the fitness club (they are supposed to be out by 8pm)

Look at the Swedes who find it very natural to socialise with each other in the buff in saunas and have no hang ups about nudity.

Yes it's Daily Mail - sorry

IMO the entire issue stems from sexualisation of the human body.

If there was no sexualisation, we would have no issues with women breastfeeding, or nudity. You probably wouldn't have scantily clad, sexually provactive images of women plastered everywhere. Perhaps it may put women on a more equal footing?

IIRC there was a protest in NYC about women not being able to walk around topless like guys could. There was lots of pixelation but it was of nipples. Again, with top shelf mags, there will be yellow stars covering the nipples. Bikinis can be as tiny as you want, and as long as they cover the nipples, it's acceptable to have the rest of the breasts on show. I've long argued that the issue around breastfeeding/topless pics/page 3 has been about nipples, not about boobs.

The difficulty is we learn to sexualise things from an early age. If you look at some tribes, the women do not appear to cover above their waists - just like men.

It's cultural and an issue in protestant countries. In France, women have been going topless to the beach since the 60s and it's imported prudishness that is now being a problem.

No but it doesn't mean I'd do it, don't want to make them jealous ;)

Not wrong. Well, maybe if I'm doing it

We live in an age where sex sells so you can hardly criticise the next logical step forward, or indeed the way everyone came into this world. You can't live your own life worried about someone else's preference, whatever side of the debate they're on.

I await the discussion on the naked rambler :)

Over here it is accepted. You have nudity areas at many lakes and at the seaside.

In a sauna, it is a faux pas too wear anything other than a towel - in fact you will usually be kicked out of the wellness area of you are wearing a swimsuit.

Same for breast feeding etc. All normal behavior. You see sauna reports on teatime TV, with naked men and women, nothing blurred out. Well only the faces of somebody didn't sign a waiver.

I regularly go to the sauna and I've been to a couple of nudist beaches. Doesn't bother me one way or the other.

I just remembered a BBC afternoon broadcast that had tribesmen running around naked, some carrying AKs, before one of them stabbed a cow in the neck (don't ask what happened next, I was channel hopping on a Sunday). So I mean if that wasn't censored...

Is nudity wrong?

Depends. At home, in changing rooms etc it's going to happen.
Can't stand the kind of parents you see on TV sometimes taking their children to nudist camps for holiday.

What's the quote? "The people you see on TV arguing in favour of nudity are always the people you least want to see with their clothes off". If The Naked Rambler looked like Ryan Gosling* he'd probably have been arrested less often. People are shallow.

Being serious, I don't have a problem with nudity but it's like a lot of things, there's a balance. You do not have a right not to be offended so for example if you go to a naturist beach you can hardly complain then, but equally good manners says you don't do things that you know are going to offend people if they've told you it will or if it's obvious that it would.

Nudity when sunbathing or in a sauna? Fair enough. Nudity in the supermarket? Kind of... no.

* I have no idea who Ryan Gosling actually is, I just heard his name in relation to something that suggests he's an attractive gentleman in peak physical condition.

Which fitness club was that again? Lol, only joking, Caz ;)

In all seriousness, I don't see a problem with it, but everything I wanted to say has already been said.

I can't vote at the moment as I'm on Tapatalk which doesn't show polls but I'll be voting no.

it is wrong yes, furless animals walking on their hind legs should be forbidden, only mammals with actual fur everywhere should be granted to walk free regardless of amount of clothing on
