No more dashcam footage from Germany. The German courts have decided that dashcams are an intrusion into other drivers privacy. It is illegal to upload footage from a dashcam to the internet and drivers cannot give footage to the police to report dangerous driving.

It looks like they can only be used to provide evidence to the insurance companies or for your own personal enjoyment at home.

Individual laws maybe, but I can't help wondering about people filming in the street with their phones, or news broadcasts, or...

It seems a bit weird in that context.

Filming in the street is already covered. Unless you get a waiver from everybody you have photographed or filmed, you can't publish it, or you have to blank out faces. For vehicles, if they aren't part of the 'production', i.e. they don't belong to you, you have to blank out the registration.

As you cannot realistically get a waiver from every driver and pedestrian you pass, you won't be in a position to publish those photos or videos.

Surely giving the video to the police should be allowed though? If you can watch other people later at home the police should be able to as part of any investigation. I'm thinking along the lines of how many people will show up on CCTV footage in court, for instance.

CCTV has a licence to film in shops or the town has a licence to film precincts etc. as a private citizen, you don't and you cannot violate the right to privacy of other citizens.

I'm being shouted at by 2 ducks and at least 1 chicken because I haven't gone out with their treats yet and had a cuddle! :lol:

Looking at those covers (on the link), Heino hasn't changed much over the years, apart from he now wears dark glasses...

If you don't know who Heino is, he is a Schlager Star and is pretty much Germany's equivalent to Sir Cliff.

I had 2 sets of Sennheiser headphones at home and both have suffered from loose cables so had to bin them. Ordered a new set at the weekend then get given 2 sets at work.

Sods law.

HSE does not however, enforce:
Time off;
Rest break entitlements; or;
Paid annual leave entitlements.

You aren't paid for your breaks, you have no requirement to work them unless agreed previously

'Tis true but there's more information on the linked page regarding using ACAS (worth Bratty giving them a ring!) and links to various enforcement bodies.

Well it's 3:30 and I'm only just able to start my work for the day, dreadful shame if they think I'm stopping late :lol:

I shredded up some cabbage and carrots and mixed them in a tub with some mayo, then Mrs V. bought home a tub of the stuff, ready made.

Coles law.

Sorry, I could have resisted, but chose not to. lol
