My wife was born in Manchester, and still lives here. I'll leave it to you to decide what her nationality is.

I do, however, have several questions. I imagine that everyone else is wondering the same, so my asking these questions is more a public service. You're welcome, everyone!

This "girlfriend" of yours... Does she know that she is your girlfriend?

Has she actually met you? In real life, I mean, not just via Skype?

No, really, does she know that she's your girlfriend? Also, why the sad smilie faces?

And the most important question of all... Have you made it to second base? ;)

I don't think I want to discuss personal relationships with someone who threatens intimidation and violence as a "joke".

Red's a Hertfordshirian, born in St Albans, but I'm not sure how you'd class me. I was born on British soil in Monchengladbach, Germany, raised in Naples, Italy and came back to the UK when I was 11, living in Wiltshire, Trowbridge and Bristol until I moved to the US and temporarily had US citizenship as well. Back to the UK and moved to Stratford-upon-Avon, now living in the Midlands.

My other half is German and, if I can get a job over there, my aim is to gain German citizenship.

My girlfriend is Danish.

She is also a pastry chef.

That makes her a Danish pastry chef. :D

This, although I live in Germany, but don't, yet, have German citizenship.

I was born in Doncaster and my wife was born in Coventry. My granddad on my dad's side was born in Wales and my wife's grandparents on her dad's side were born in Poland.

The wide was born in Oxford. Her father's side of the family is Italian - they came here during WWII and do things like man anti-aircraft guns, and we're pretty active in restaurant circles in Soho. Her mother's family is solidly Essex stock and has been for generations.
