I contacted Vauxhall to ask them about the Corsa and they said "the steering will feel vague and loose with no real connection between the driver and what is happening on the road. Ultimately the steering mechanics will be poor and you could very well end up in a ditch."

"OK," I said, "but what about the reported steering fault?"

GF had a courtesy Corsa, must have been about 6 months old tops, flat as a fart and horrible to drive, all 3 pedals had the same level of resistance (none) so it felt like a game controller. I think I'm going to hit 60 before that thing ever does!
