Preparing for a phone interview, and the Russians decide that now is a good time to try and hack my Twitter account! I only know this because I have the "Notify me if anyone tried to log on as me" setting turned on, but my mobile is going bananas! I knew I was super important, but I didn't realise that even my Twitter account was that big a prize!

Anybody else looking forward to Windows 9?
Let's hope that they do actually offer it as a free upgrade to Windows 8...

If I do wind up buying a new laptop in the new year, yeah. But only in the sense that it'll affect how much I spend, potentially. I neither want to 'fix' 9 after buying a new laptop or wind up having to buy 7 or even worse, 8!

I work with 8.1 all day, every day and I easily prefer it to 7.
The only things that really annoy me are that the settings are all over the place, inactive windows are hard-set to white and that I can't have a dual screen lock screen.
I much prefer the Start screen to the Windows 7 broken quasi-menu spasto-system.

I like 7, it's basically XP (or Vista without the bollocks) and that's all I need.

I find the "charms" in Windows 8 to be the biggest annoyance since the start menu in Windows 95. Aside from that and the crap driver support for my brand new PC I like it.

The same here. I use it on my home machines and much prefer it to 7, which I still have on my work machine. That is due to be replaced soon, so I will be getting 8 on that as well. Windows 7 doesn't have dual lock screen either. Multi-monitor support on 8 is better than 7 as well, finally, the taskbar is on all screens, no more having to move the cursor back across multiple displays to activate something on the taskbar!
