EDIT: they seem to have nothing, but my other half’s name pops up in the premium results section.

Problem is its all in the public domain if you can be bothered to look for it. Not happy but don't see what can be done about it

Just one premium hit for me, and that's five years out of date. So I'm not too worried - yet!

Unfortunately these bastards collect information from all sorts of places, including the edited electoral register. So unless you've extremely vigilant and remembered to opt-out of the edited register every year then chances are you're on it.

If I'm honest I think it's disgusting the amount of personal and sensitive information self professed 'legitimate' companies are able to collect and retain; I wasn't aware of 192 until I read PC Pro's site today; but if I'm honest it's similar to 118 800; which according to The Register experienced 'technical' issues once it became available for (ab)use. I can't believe that O2 allowed itself to be blackmailed by an unknown entity; their customers weren't advised of the access to their personal information by O2 and if I'm honest if I were an O2 customer I'd submit an SAR! 192; 118 800; Phorm; the targeting of consumers via mobile telephone advertising; RFID; CCTV. Pathetic!

I'd be curious to know if children are being targeted via 118 800; indeed if it's a mobile telephone which has been given to a child by their parent alongside a SIM via O2; purchased or otherwise; I wouldn't trust that it isn't already available to 118 800. I also wouldn't like to query the database to discover whether my mobile telephone number was available on said database; you're just giving 118 800 your mobile telephone number!

They have my details from the 2002 electoral role, which if I remember correctly is before the edited version was created.

In other words, it's freely available information. I remember being annoyed at the time that such information was public, considering you're legally required to give it even if you object strongly.

I guess if you don't want someone to know where you live, then you'd better be sure you've moved since. Personally, I'm not aware of anyone trying to hunt me down.

However, since they say they log all searches it would be interesting to request all personal information they hold. Presumably that would include who's stalking you.

No hits in the free information, but 10 or so that could be me in the Premium section. None of the addresses match my current location, and I don't show up in the business list at all. Considering they have 356 versions of me on record I doubt anyone will be able to pull too much information together about the actual real me I'm now considering registering so I can browse the possible me's in more detail

Scratch that, just tried to register but my email address is already in use checked it under both my maiden and married names, nothin' doin' so not sure who's trying to be me, but I then discovered that you have to have credits to use the premium information and it's $34.95 for 100 credits, 1 credit per piece of information, so house number is 1 credit, street name is 1 credit etc etc.
