Damn, I missed Fogmeister's guess on the first picture, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I know it was another 'plane one, but it is something so unique that I thought it a bit more interesting than the Statue of Liberty. You're right. It isn't. In fact, it's about 600 miles from Mojave.

I've managed to line up another three images now. I may only use the one from the set, as they're all in the same location.  I want the building that is in the centre of the shot, but I'll take the location generally because I couldn't get Google to tell me what it was, I went looking for it specifically. I guess it's stumped people.
We're in Brussels. I am therefore making a wild stab in the dark that the building in question had something to do with Hergé and Tintin?

It is - the building in question was the place where Éditions Lombard was based, and there is a large Tintin & Snowy sign on it. The south end of the picture is the Midi station, which is where the Eurostar pulls up.
