Unless you do know where that is, it is very close to being right. (Not the Airfix part ;) )

I know where it is :D

But I've already got one place in hand so I'll let someone else answer :D

You're almost there Levick :D

I'm guessing Mojave Desert?

That's my guess for the current photo. :D

Damn, I missed Fogmeister's guess on the first picture, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I know it was another 'plane one, but it is something so unique that I thought it a bit more interesting than the Statue of Liberty.

I am pretty sure that it isn't the Mojave desert, though.

You're right. It isn't.

In fact, it's about 600 miles from Mojave.

Heh!

It's quite famous, in an obscure kind of way. There aren't many places where a motorway, canal and railway converge like that.

By the way, happy birthday to the M1!

(That was a clue, by the way.)

Yeah, I've found it. Watford Gap services.

I'll get another in a moment.

I've managed to line up another three images now. I may only use the one from the set, as they're all in the same location.

What was that about I'm supposed to be working? :?

I want the building that is in the centre of the shot, but I'll take the location generally because I couldn't get Google to tell me what it was, I went looking for it specifically.

I would have thought that it was labelled by the Google Earth Community, but their markings didn't appear. :?

I expect they're afraid someone might identify it and bomb the place.

Shall I answer, or shall I wait...?

St Paul’s at the Bottom. Royal Bank of Scotland next to the round Coffee shop at the right of the picture. Building in the middle = Stock Exchange.

Ok - a little further afield now. Continental Europe is the location. But where? And what is the significance of the building centre left?

I guess it's stumped people.

We're in Brussels. I am therefore making a wild stab in the dark that the building in question had something to do with Hergé and Tintin?

It is - the building in question was the place where Éditions Lombard was based, and there is a large Tintin & Snowy sign on it.

The south end of the picture is the Midi station, which is where the Eurostar pulls up.

Okies, back to Blighty for this one.

I might visit this place in a month's time.
