I believe you are referring to the diction of parts of outer London which wrongly believe that they are in Essex, such as Romford and Ilford.

This is very true. Proper Essex would be a dialect more akin to Suffolk, I believe.

Anyway, I've decided not to apply for the post of Wookey Hole Witch. I didn't like the hours. :lol:

The letter “r” is rolled a lot more the further North East you go.
