Update for you.
Last week I spent a fair bit of time being tested and retested. Even so they forgot to do one blood test !
This week they came back saying my calcium count even though it was well within normal levels it was 0.001 too high , oh for F sake.
Anyway I’ve just had confirmation that I start the medication on Tuesday and I’ll have my operation in about 16 weeks.
Which wasn't the way round I wanted it be Cest La vie.
Anyway things are heading in the right direction now. :D

That's a bit of a pain. Calcium (depending on your local lab values) is usually measured as say 2.50 mmol/l (normal range is something like 2.2 - 2.5). So if you were 2.501, I wouldn't worry. Even if you were 2.51 I wouldn't worry. 2.6 might be a different story.

Hope things get sorted out either way. My kidney isn't cancerous but is dysplastic and has been giving me health problems. My worry is the toll on the good kidney. It's slightly struggling at the mo.

When I say it was too high, I mean within the trial scope not NHS guidelines, its comfortably within NHS guidelines. I believe I was 2.401

Why am I reminded of a certain scene from the film "When Harry met Sally"?

Hmmm
