OK, anyone else playing this? I'm currently a lvl 21 Warlock and the only other guy I know is a lvl 25 guy. Looking for people to team up around my lvl. On most nights and would much prefer to team up with people I can party up with instead of randomers. Either add me on Xbox Live (Fogmeister1) or let me know your gamer tags.

Ah, it's going to be tough getting a raid party together.
What do you play on? And what class/lvl are you? You still enjoying it?

It is anyway. Having 6 friends playing at once is a challenge, regardless. I'm currently a level 28 hunter, on PS4 with a group of friends. We can just about on a good day get 6 together to try the raid. We haven't even managed to open the door yet . You basically have to hold three control points for a given period to get the door open and we can't manage it even though we try for about half an hour at a time. Nightmare hard it is. I am still currently enjoying it, though mainly when I'm co-oping with friends. Once you finish the story the only choices you have are playing multiplayer (PvE or PVP) and farming/grinding to get better equipment. You can do multiplayer with randoms but it's just more fun with friends - but then this is true of pretty much any multiplayer game. I don't know if it's got the legs to last all the way through to when the first lump of DLC comes out (December I think) but even if I've dropped it by then I'll almost certainly come back when that gets released. The basic game mechanics are all very solid.

Right. Finally got to lvl 27 tonight Did the heroics with a couple of friends. Also, there's 4 of us now (possibly 5) that are interested in doing VoG so fingers crossed.

You can run VoG with 5, definitely. Four would be pushing it, although there are youtubes of mad people who obviously play Destiny far too much running it with 3 . There are a couple of places (opening the front door for one) where numbers help, but other than that it looks much like a strike, only much harder . The heroic last night was rather tricky. I so hate Phogoth!

Yeah we had a 25, 26 and 27. We took three attempts to open the gate (those knight/wizard combinations are a PITA). Then we took two (maybe three) attempts to take down Phogoth. I love the strikes. They're like mini raids (from WoW). I love the set pieces and improving at each point. For Phogoth I tend to be on the adds. Taking down the mobs that come in the drop ship. My main is a Scout Rifle so I can snipe the mobs when they arrive

Yeah, we wiped in the gate room too, bit higher than you (all level 27) but it was still tough but fun. Didn't have enough Fire damage to take on four wizards at once initially but we figured it out in the end. The ads in the final room are the trick, you kind of have to forget about Foggy (as his mates call him) and deal with them while keeping out of the big guy's line of sight . Foggy himself is just a bullet sponge... The strikes are genuine fun, they're pretty much the main part of Destiny we play now when we can't get a group together for the VoG. Tiger Vanguard playlist. I just hope the DLC adds a few more and they make them a bit more random, we seem to get Foggy about 50% of the time and last night we got the same strike twice in a row, which you'd think shouldn't happen.

I'm a pathetic level 6 - I've just not had the time to play the game fully.
