I don't think I ever recall sound in my dreams.

I'm like Amy. I dream in colour with sound. When things get a bit frantic, I have been known to lash out, or shout out loud. Best Beloved tends to try and wake me in such situations, in case I cause injury!

I have recurring themes in my dreamworld. Last night, I have a very vivid dream about finding a thief in the kitchen. He was a right cocky barsteward, too, and I recognised him as someone who lives next door. The thing is, the real world person is nothing like the dreamworld one, so I wonder what prompted it.

I've no idea what my dream was about but I woke up laughing today. And not just a snigger or a giggle, a full blown belly laugh!

Strangely, after this thread popping up, I do remember a small snippet of a dream I had last night. In the dream I was watching TV and there was a trailer on for a horror film. I don't think this film actually exists. It was set on a ship and the ship was haunted or something. I remember only this one scene in the trailer which was taken as if from a CCTV camera. One of the characters was talking into the camera and something came up behind them - I'd describe it as a bit like The Predator because it was kind of transparent but it had the same mask on that Rorschach wears in the Watchmen comic/film, totally featureless with a vertically symmetrical pattern on it. So you could kind of see it's outline and the pattern on the mask (which may actually just have been it's face) and everything else was see through

Very odd.

I won't go into the second set of dreams from last night as Freud would have a field day. The first was more interesting in that it was a two-parter with the second half shown first. I'm in a hospital side room trying to help the charge nurse with steadying a patient. This is a fat 40+yo blonde woman (the kind you might see on Benefits Street) who has had her left arm severed below the elbow. Instead of the usual muscle and tissue, the stump looks like it has cords and fibres coming out of it. There's also the sound of a baby crying which emanates from the arm. The woman is trying to look at her stump and is crying and upset. Meanwhile the nurse and I are trying to stabilise her abdominal wound.

Next scene is me with some friends in my kind of bar which has an open front and a salad bar at the front. I specifically recall looking and deciding what to choose to eat later. I then recall waking up I'm a hotel room and go downstairs. It's now a white room with people sitting on the floor, with a separation between two halves to make a sort of aisle. It has a feeling of a congregation and I think there's maybe a dais or stage or something at the front but the whiteness/light makes it hard to see. At the end of this congregation we bring out our radio controlled pick up trucks and race them up the room all at the same time. Mine came somewhere in the middle. As we all left, a Nathan Barley type character kicks my truck. I chase after him and bear him up, breaking his bones and joints in the process. I then go into work and there's a woman who needs medical attention. It's the woman from earlier on. She's been injured and she's pregnant. We do an emergency Caesarian section and put the baby in one corner of the room, which is where the crying had come from and why the woman was so desperate to look over - she wasn't looking at her stump but at her baby.

When programming and the stress gets too much, I often dream of situations where I'm being chased, for example by a dinosaur and I am trying to get away from it by using function calls in whatever language I happen to be working with at the time.

Certainly I remember daytime stuff heavily influencing dreams. I used to play Morrowind quite heavily at once and that was what I dreamed of - the Morrowind world, me completing quests etc. Further than that, for a while I had a stint in 3D modelling. My dreams for a couple of nights were entirely in wireframe.

Haven't posted here for a while despite numerous weird dreams. I attribute last night's to cheesecake.

There's a group of us maybe 100-200. We start on the edge of a cliff. We leap off and dive into the water below. We swim across. The aim is to get to a building ("finish line"?). Along the way, there are obstacles and fights. It's a race. About 50 of us make it. We go into the building and there's a kitchen with food. Everyone's lunch is labelled. I look for mine but can't find it. Two people come up to me and ask me my name and I reply "Slade Wilson". Apparently I'm Deathstroke. They then tell me the whole thing was a contest to look for a group of people for something. I'm in.

One of the worse dreams I ever had was one which involved me waking up in the morning, getting ready and going to work. I did a full day at work, with nothing obviously strange happening. Then I came home. As I walked through the front door, I was woken up by the alarm clock, at which I had to get ready to go to work... again.

I actually woke up feeling completely knackered, as though I had just finished putting in a shift, so I was really not happy about having to go back again.

It's about people struggling to survive on an island - and guess who the villain is? ;)

Lol that's hilariious! I haven't gotten round to watching anything like Gotham, Flash, or Arrow. I wasn't even aware of the show's premise.
