I get stuff delivered to home if I know I'm going to be there or work if I don't, or at a pinch the amazon lockers at the Spar down the road. I'm not going to use this at all.

They have been doing that for years over here - not just Amazon, it is a service that post offices have offered for a long time. Each post office has a collection room, full of lockers, or more modern ones have an automat outside, you let it scan the QR-code on your delivery note and it brings the package to the slot on the automat - this also works out of hours.

I'm lucky, I can get my stuff delivered to work.

This could be useful for me.
Despite being able to see the Amazon Logistics warehouse from my office window and despite always putting an obvious business address on the parcel, they always (every single time) try to deliver either before 8am or run out of time on the rounds.
I have had the prime trial extended 3 times now after complaining. It doesn't seem to get my parcels to me however.
If they can be dropped at the post office just up the road I would use that service.
Didge.

So they're essentially just stopping the post man pretending they've delivered and dropping a card through the door?

Isn't this essentially just an extension of the Collect Plus service (where it's left at a participating local shop)?
I've certainly used Collect + before but stopped when I cancelled my Prime membership before they hiked the price to add the video bit I didn't actually want.
Unless this can be used as a free delivery option I really don't see the difference between the post office and a local shop (which may already be one and the same) under Collect +.

Hmm - I know that one. Come downstairs to find a card on the doormat. I work from home - I can hear the door bell or a knock anywhere in the house.

Of course, you have to wait till the next day to go an collect it.
