 Stormtroopers are clones, it's a big part of the Star Wars backstory. Boba Fett, the guy in the greyish-green armour that was chasing Han Solo in the original films with the jet pack and stuff? Every single stormtrooper was created from his DNA, so they all look like him. He was played by a Mauri guy - Temuera Morrison, who I suspect you'd recognise if you saw his face. A big chunk of the story in the second set of films was about them creating the clone army because they couldn't recruit soldiers as fast as the other side could build droids, so they were losing a war of attrition. Of course it was actually about Palpitine/The Emperor getting his hands on a massive army of absolutely obedient soldiers that he could use to wipe out the Jedi and establish the Empire. So, basically, the guy in the trailer cannot be an actual stormtrooper, because he doesn't look like Temuera Morrison. Its the kind of thing Star Wars fans get tetchy about. Personally, I think whoever that guy is in the trailer has been pretending to be a stormtrooper, maybe in disguise, as that would be a nice nod to the first film. But the internet these days is all about outrage, so.... Yours geekily.

Bearing in mind the fact that the new film will be set many years after Return of the Jedi, is it a big surprise that they have "developed a new model"?
