You know those days where you wished you hadn't bothered getting out of bed? I felt like that and it's only midday. Got up slightly late because I forgot to set my alarm. Left home at 0800 instead of 0730 to get to the gym. The gym is about the same distance as work from home and the normal route is identical for 90% of the journey. Road works means I take an alternative route which is fine but end up in more traffic. I then end up backtracking and going back to my normal route except now it's definitely jam packed with traffic. Great idea so I go near my workplace and head to the gym via the back routes. Takes me an hour to get there. Half-hearted effort at the gym because I'm pissed off and tired. Drive all the way back home only to find I need a payslip which I've left at work. Drive all the way back and finally home. I wasted something like 3 hrs for 45 mins' effort.

One of the biggest Tesco stores in NI isn't listed on their site but all the smaller ones are, for instance

Another fail from me... I've just figured out why I keep getting missed calls on my stupid iPhone. The damned thing was set to silent. Even though I checked the volume and it was turned up to maximum, I hadn't noticed that the stupid little switch on the side of the stupid little iPhone had moved into the silent position.
Stupid iPhone!

Cat fail.
I was driving home and a ginger cast ran across the road in front of me. A busy A road and a long stream of cars behind me.
It stopped directly in front of me and looked at me. I tried to serve around it as best I could, given icy road and heavy traffic, but there wasn't enough room and I didn't want to brake heavily or steer too hard and risk losing control. It didn't resume moving and I ran it over. Because of trying to avoid it, instead of smashing it's head against the bumper, it went under the wheels.
I didn't sleep well and feel depressed, but there wasn't anything I could have done.
In fact the advertising here at the moment says that if animals run out in front of you, you should brake in a straight line, not try and avoid them at all. The reasoning being that the animal could still run out of the way, but if you serve towards the side of the road, a tree is never going to serve our of your way! And a head on collision with another vehicle is even worse.

Bloody letting agents. I'm sure the world would be improved if they all suddenly died or something.
Anywho, the bunch I rent my house from are meant to do inspections and a roughly quarterly basis. Last one was on the 28th of August. They sent me a letter (8th of September) saying that I needed to do some heavy pruning on the bushes in the back garden before the next inspection on the 28th of November. Fair enough, I'm not going to dispute that the bushes had gotten a bit tall so I arranged for a gardener to come in and hack them back down to a more manageable level last week so it was done in time for the inspection.
Except I got a text yesterday telling me my next inspection is on the 5th of December so it now doesn't look like they bothered to come on the 28th of Nov like they said they would on their letter. It would have been nice of them to tell me they'd cancelled that inspection.
I consider myself to be a pretty reasonable tenant - pay the bills on time, look after the place as well as possible and I normally make an extra effort to make sure the house is clean and tidy when they come to do an inspection which is what I had done for the 28th. Since then things have been rather hectic (not that surprising for the end of the year) and I just don't have time to run around again doing more cleaning (was busy last night and have a meeting tonight so I'm basically going to have tomorrow morning before I go to work to whiz round with the vacuum and things). So much for peaceful enjoyment or whatever it says in the tenancy agreement.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable to expect that, if they can't make an appointment they've made in writing on headed company paper, they have the courtesy to let me know they need to move it. Making me run around like a blue @rsed fly because they couldn't organise a p!ssup in a brewery is edging towards harassment IMO.

Me again.
Managed to forget my laptop charger at a clients site yesterday. Had to make a quick trip out to buy another.
Pillock!

Ordering off eBay without properly reading the 'we're selling fakes' description - the seller had better give me a refund or I'll have them investigated by everyone I can think of

Hahaha good luck with that. If it was stated in the description that it wasn't a 100% genuine article, then you'll have a hard time getting a refund unless they are a particularly generous and decent seller. Mark
