It was a good remake, but not in this class.

I paid good money to see Flesh Gordon meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders at the cinema back in 1990 or thereabouts. It was money down the drain. There's a good reason why it scores 3.2 out of 10 on IMDB.

For comedy Airplane (with the first Naked Gun film coming in second).
I always really liked Shallow Grave, thought it was better than Train Spotting.
American History X also very good IMHO.
