I know nothing about Zenith, but this made me laugh

Quote:
But Morrison is an entertainer: his work is packed with ideas, but rarely introspective. Instead, wild action and dramatic, shifting worlds dominate.

It's all of the above because he never has a bloody clue where he's taking it. It always starts with a great premise and then turns into the comics' equivalent of a TV 'dream' episode.

I was listening to one of the old Fatman on Batman podcasts in which Kyle Higgins, the writer of Nightwing, Batman Eternal, etc, was interviewed. He mentioned that as a student at Chapman University in Orange, California, he'd interned with Richard Donner's production company and building on what he learned there, started work on a short film that was to be his thesis. The film - named The League - was completed and is available online, however you can see the trailer here.

Looks good for what is essentially a student film!

Sooo... remember the controversial Spider Woman cover? With the body paint and all that?
A very fine rebuttal here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB6TiRJNI-Q

DC’s ‘Convergence': a multiversal mashup, and maybe some answers

JHC, seriously?

I've been wondering whether to renew my subscriptions or not and that just made the decision for me. Bar sh1tty Gotham, DC is telling better stories on TV than where it began and where budget isn't such an issue!

I'm gonna stick with IDW for the foreseeable future, and maybe Marvel's individual arcs until they mess up again. Next summer would be my guess

Not sure you'd get away with a cover like this nowadays...

With that many readers, crime apparently did pay!

I know. No comic sells remotely close to 1 million copies monthly these days.

And exactly HOW is that cover showing that crime does not pay?!

Emily Blunt turned down two major Marvel roles

It's always hard to picture the actor in the role after the fact.

I hadn't even spotted Batman staring at Joker's arse until I noticed Robin was even camper than usual. It's only a matter of time before Aunt Harriet turns up to dispel the rumours...

You think that cover has gay overtones? What about this one:

Never mind that, Black Gondolier FTW!

*Random* And that's a curious-looking revolver.

New Joker origin
http://sciencefiction.com/2015/02/03/ba ... man-comic/

Have DC/Scott Snyder gone mental? Even if they do introduce that it won't be long before they have to kill it off to get the character 'back'. Snyder gave Batman fans hope for the future with his stories, but he's started to go way too far when it came to the backstory in the last year or so.

DC is once again pinning the whole mythos on one writer and it's already disappearing up it's own arse. Snyder brought the character back from the Morrison brink, but he should have built on the foundations instead of trying to resculpt them.

I can see the angle they're going with which is namely Batman can never defeat the Joker as ultimately he will die before the Joker does. So maybe they're gonna push for something. But it's still stupid.
