We just bought a Dell MFC at work for 200€, that is a very good device.

Which model? The C1765?

Because that's the one I was about to buy, before the bargain Samsung popped up.

Yep, that's the one. We bought the nf model, although we had to return the second one, because the page was pulled in at a slight angle (1mm difference left to right). It doesn't sound like much, but it is enough to see that the line above the footer on our corporate template goes diagonally across the page, instead of straight... Waiting for a second model as replacement from Amazon.

There is a common complaint on the boards about wireless printing - you can't wake it from sleep mode remotely, so you have walk up and jab a button beforehand. I don't think there were any problems over ethernet though.

A big plus is you can buy compatible toner carts for it at a fraction of the standard cost.

An ebook about a 95yo comparing today to how he grew up, excellent.

A blue PS4 pad - I can now see where it is in this tip, and use the original when I can't be arsed running the charging lead across my room.

Hopefully the TMNT figures and van I got my nephew will be met with approval.

A male-to-female USB lead appears to work in my PS3 (Sony are so fcuking arsey as to make your blood boil), meaning I don't have to try and line up a USB stick to fit a port I can barely see...

After finding out my nephew lost his Donatello figure I then had much frustration with Tesco... Long story short, he's getting it and a Shredder figure delivered to the store on Friday. The nephew has autism, so I'm hoping he's OK with scarred-up Shredder.

I also bought a Xmas tree just to bring a bit of levity to the office; I personally couldn't care if we had a tree or not. The girls had a great time decorating it anyway (one of them had previously drawn Xmas scenes on the window!).

Just went to the emergency off license on the corner, and got their cheapest red wine. It says it's an Italian Merlot, soft, fruity and smooth.

I know the truth. Wish me luck.

:edit: 12% my arse. tastes about 4%

It turns out that the pulling in the paper at a slight angle is a "design" problem with the printer. The advice from Dell support was to buy a proper printer.

It wouldn't matter - statistically and with your penchant for weapons and explosives, I'll at least outlive you despite being older and living in Ulster :P
