Bought the nephew more TMNT figures, some of them really are excellent, but this made me laugh at how blatant a rip-off it is

Quote:
With their long tongues and fangs, these giant mutated squirrels put up quite a fight. Quick and agile, they move quickly around the Turtles, climbing up walls and hanging off pipes in the sewer. By mutating and reproducing, using any host they can find, they continue to grow in number. This ever-growing pack of Squirrelanoids soon becomes a deadly challenge for the Turtles!

Naniwa Professional Water stones from here

They're   8-)

Having only (very quickly) used the first two stones, I just shaved my arm with a cheapo Kitchen Devil

I still have the ones that my father gave me, when I was a teenager. Still going strong, I just run a little 3-in-1 over them and get sharpening.

£1000 copper piping for under £200.

Did you know it loses it's shine and when that happens big stores like B&Q take it off the shelves as the public doesn't like 'dull' copper?

Well lucky for us that's true.

That's bonkers. I've ended up painting every piece of visible copper pipe in every house I've ever had anyway. Why give a [thingy] if it's shiney when you buy it?

'Shiny' copper will gradually develop a protective layer of copper oxide over time. I think it starts out as a dull brown/black colour (copper oxide). If left long enough it will turn into copper carbonate which is green - like the Statue of Liberty.

Yes, yes it is. Because some people are incredibly shallow about how their pipework looks

If I wanted it to be seen then I would get the chrome coated piping (and I think its quite expensive)

Chrome plated pipe is yes, but you can get 'chrome wrapping' for pipes that is much cheaper and, unless you're examining it close up, works perfectly well.

The TMNT figures continue to be excellent. A Lotto Hotpicks ticket, not so much.

A ticket to Birdman, er, mixed. Same with American Sniper. Speaking of tickets, might go to the zoo next week...
