There'll be a complaint if my Prime parcel doesn't arrive today since it was supposed to be here yesterday...

Not sure if this is a l3v1ck fail, rig stewards fail or both.
Spent yesterday morning doing hydraulics modeling before I left the rig. Rushed down to the laundry just before by checkin to pick up the washing I'd put in the previous day. Picked up the bag that was clearly labeled 'Name - Levick, cabin - 6515'. Didn't bother checking the contents before throwing it in my rig bag and checking in. Opened it this morning....... someone else's clothes are in there.
Had to phone up the rig. They've found mine and I've got to go back to the heliport on Monday to pick them up and drop off the wrong clothes.

I wonder how much of the ca £9m will go to the staff that lost their jobs.

In theory the staff could also sue Companies house for loss of earnings? The initial case has already established that it was liable for loss.

Indeed. If the payout already agreed doesn't cover former employee compensation then things could be getting even more unpleasant for Companies House. I imagine however that trying to work out fair compensation could take some considerable time.

BBC News are currently reporting on a breaking story by showing the tweets of their correspondent in the relevant country. Ye Gods.

Assuming that the tweets are factually correct and not in "text speak" I don't see the problem. Isn't this a case of embracing the available technological resources, in order to bring us the latest news as quickly as possible, which they need to do in order to keep up with, if not overtake the other news hawkers in the current market?

WARNING: I am about to be a complete and utter b1tch
One of my American colleagues last night decided to import something on to my European system which has changed 300 phone extension names. I have no idea why he has done it but luckily the support company I use are working to fix it.
I'm glad Americans are teaching their babies to shoot one another. This is called natural selection.
That is all.

I tried to make Jaffa Cakes at home. It went wrong. Very wrong. In fact it's the worst baking experience of my life. I won't be trying those again.
