Ian Rankin's Beggar's Banquet - short stories, brilliant so far. This is the first time I've ever read any of his work!

I'm working my way through the Charlie Parker series by John Connolly. Have read loads over the years and now filling in the gaps of the ones I missed and the newer books. Currently on the Wrath of Angels so I only have 2 more books to go after this and I have caught up. Excellent stuff. I'm frequently telling the rocking egg one that I'm going to bed with Charlie Parker. He's stopped saying 'who?' now

I've just finished 'Inspector Singh Investigates: A Curious Indian Cadaver,' by Shamini Flint. It's OK, but only the Mumbai setting lifts it out of the ordinary. I've now started James Clavell's Shogun. I have taken a very long time to get round to this (despite my father's claim that it's the best book he's ever read) mainly because it's a real 1125 page brick of a novel and I can recall being relatively unimpressed with the TV adaptation. I'm about 50 pages in and it's very good so far.

The Atrocity Archives by Charles Stross. Imagine Yes Minister mixed with HP Lovecraft and magic as a branch of theoretical mathematics based on an unpublished theorem by Alan Turing. Quite diverting.

Chris Evans' second memoir, dunno if I'll stick with it.

I thought it was worth reading, even if it's for the story of the catastrophic amount of money he lost.

It's a fascinating insight in a way, but it can be very annoying reading about the top table in Langans and sh1t like that - I just don't care.

I haven't really tinkered with the settings in the Kindle app so I haven't been zooming too far myself!

Gave up, couldn't take any more of his 'I bought a...'. Had to give up on Palin's Monty Python diaries too; they're badly in need of an editor. Currently reading Hollywood Stories which is just a collection of anecdotes, but perfect light reading.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/W-R-Biography-A ... s=axl+roseIt's OK, but you'll never know how much of it's true considering the subject himself.

Deathstroke The Terminator (awesome, shame about the boots), since The Activity file is playing silly buggers.
