Just managed to get Plusnet to give me Fibre Broadband for less than I'm already paying for regular broadband.

I phoned up and argued that a being customer for 17 years deserves some special consideration. They even refunded the P&P cost of the router

I pretty much agree with it. Given one of the basic tenants of christianity is generosity to the those less fortunate than yourself (not that all churches follow that tenant but nevertheless they are supposed to promote that belief both in word and act) the current level of inequality in our society is exactly the kind of thing they should be talking about. The idea that somehow the CoE has no right to be... a church is bordering on strange. You can disagree with what they say, that's entirely fair enough, but you're on sticky ground the moment you tell someone 'you're not allowed to talk about that..'

If the Tories had more people like him the opposition wouldn't stand a chance.

Just won a pub quiz.
Our team of 4 just left a whole £7 per head richer.
Which minus the £2 entry fee, and my pint of Carling, means I'm about £2 up for the night.

I remember when they opened a store in selfridges in Birmingham. My sister got two dozen doughnuts for free. She brought them home. They had finished within 30 mins.
