I'm sure the SNP wouldn't object if they used the Scottish flag

Shouldn't the text read:

Yes, I think it probably should.

I’m putting this here because either this is a genuine level of stupidity, or I don’t get it. This is an Apple Watch App. For those who don’t know, Procreate Pocket is a drawing app for the iPhone. You hold your phone in one hand and draw with your fingers (or a stylus). There are some nice UI things going on in the iPhone app to make changing brush size, etc. fairly comfortable. However, moving them to the Watch seems to be rather stupid. Why? Imagine you're right handed, and you are wearing your Apple Watch on your left wrist. You are also holding your phone in your left hand because, well, you’re using your right hand for drawing. You want to change the size of the brush, so you turn to your watch, which requires flipping your wrist over (unless you are one of those tho wears your watch face in). Your phone is now facing the wrong way, and your picture is hidden. I don”t think the watch will be “on” all the time, so you probably have to trigger a glance or make some kind of wrist movement to get it to wake the display up. I know, I’ve not used it like this, but I really can’t see how the watch can solve this particular problem, especially when the problems isn’t that much of an issue in the first place.

I can see why they did it. I also spotted the flaw as soon as I read the description. It's a nice idea. It just isn't going to work.

By the description it's simply to enable 'full screen mode' in the iOS app, so you have no onscreen gui to get in the way of your scribblings. Seems a ruddy awkward solution to a fairly non-existent problem to me.

My wife's school has decided, for some bizarre reason, not to allow the children out during the eclipse. Apparently, the fear is that they will look at the sun and go blind. As I said to my wife (who thinks this is bats), the kids will have to live until they are in their 90s before the next one in this country.

In Germany schools have stated that pupils without protective glasses (which have been sold in most shops) won't be allowed out in the playground at break time. Because they fear they will look directly at the sun and damage their eyes. I guess the parents of any pupil that is let out and damages their eyes would receive compensation.

We've known this has been coming for years. Why haven't the schools got their collectives into gear and obtained some protective glasses for the kids? I don't believe for one minute that they couldn't have got some, either free, (all publicity is good publicity for the company they get them from) or at a massive discount. Having said that, I just walked from one of the buildings at work to the other and I was stupid enough to look at the sun... I can now see green spots. Imagine having twenty or thirty kids stumbling round, screaming "AARRGGHH! Green spots!" in a display of drama king/queen acting worthy of a kiddy oscar.

I'm ill, have broke my longest lens ( that I need next month for Silverstone ) and I've got a speeding fine. All on the same day.

They say bad luck comes in threes. For me it comes in nines. How fast were you going? And can you hire a lens?
