Do you own any or was it just a general observation ( congratulations if you do).

Nice. Wish I had shares doing that well in my pension fund.

Dig out your winter jumpers. I don't think a bikini will be needed unless you're going abroad.

That's a daily thing for me rather than a weekend treat. Benefits of being a member at David Lloyd. AND outside heated pool too.

Some of my patients go to David Lloyd which is why I avoided them. Signed up to Virgin and didn't get spotted for six months. A couple of female patients recognised me.

A doctors not supposed to use community facilities then? Does the same apply to supermarkets and pubs?

No, it's more trying to avoid patients in general.

Nice moment today. At 9.10am, I was told I was covering a class starting at 9.30
20 minutes to scan the powerpoints and get myself together.
Thankfully it was all about semiotics and representation in media products; I have easily an hour on that one.
As I introduced myself to the group, one of them said to his mate "Yes, at least it's Alex. We'll get a real class this time."

Ego suitably massaged, I managed to work in a discussion on that classic BBC series following a group of unemployed men in Yorkshire former mining communities and the types of trouble they often found themselves in, and how it related to the portrayal of men in the media.
Yes, we covered Last of the Summer Wine.
