I'm going to see Heaven 17 tonight and just posted a link to the gig on Facebook and tagged the lead singer Glenn Gregory who's on my friends list

One of my friends commented "I used to love them"

Glenn Gregory himself then replied

Quote:
Used to.
Tanya what did we do wrong.
Xgg

She's mortified lol :D

Today, we had a hustings at work.
All 5 candidates from the main parties - the usual 3, plus the Greens and UKIP - were in attendance.
The UKIP chap opens with 'Do you think it's right we're sending all this money to India?"
And was immediately shouted down by the others "No, we're not, that's over".

They do have a way with their adverts. Have you seen the one with guy having a train toilet fail?

It's funny cos it's true.

Seriously, MoS wouldn't have been quite as annoying if everything wasn't SAD-inducing.

The story isn't funny, but the 'think twice' bit's good.

Fit-shaming: it’s like fat-shaming, but the exact opposite | Life and style | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle ... beach-body

Funny article, but that's the thing, we live in an age where you can convince idiots they're being persecuted by others, usually portrayed as fat and lazy. It's just a company doing what the right wingers have been doing for decades.

Brilliant

Quote:
Jason Manford
Dear fans,

After my earlier post regarding calling Karl Oyston of Blackpool FC an 'odious ferret' I've been contacted by my lawyers.

So I would like to retract my comments, they were unfair and misjudged and I can only apologise for letting myself, my family and my fans down. The last thing I want is to cause upset and to be taken to court over a silly comment.

I can only hope that my apology is accepted by ferrets and ferret owners everywhere. They of course make lovely, loving, loyal pets & are easily trainable & entertaining. To compare them to that total bellend was an insult to ferrets and for that I am sorry. To be even be mentioned in the same sentence to that knuckle-dragging slimy cockmuppet was a miscalculation on my part.

Regards,

Jason Manford

On the latest royal

Quote:
Ukip leader Nigel Farage said he urged his party’s candidates to “take at least an hour out of campaigning in order to toast the new arrival. “I shall certainly be setting an example in that regard. After all, some things are worth interrupting politics for,” he said.
