I've just watched a film which takes the title of "most boring film I've seen to date", previously held by this film.

Foxcatcher

I think it's boring on purpose. Utter $hite.

This is England, brilliant little film, some lovely moments, some great acting. This one had passed me by; one day they will make a good English film that isn't set in the eighties, deal with Thatcher, or have Hugh Grant in it. but until then, we can enjoy gems like this.

I was going to suggest Dead Man's Shoes but looks like someone else already did

Also try London to Brighton, Love Honour & Obey & Heartless

Fast 7

I took my eldest and my nephew to see it.

It was hideously corny, high octane, zero sense entertainment. It was sh!te.

They loved it  :D

Avengers 2 - It's good, worth going to see, but it feels like a war movie the further it progresses and I probably wouldn't watch it again (I've seen the first about ten times!). It feels too long in a way the original coped better with, and I often got the feeling I was watching it's predecessor, just rejigged. What differentiates this is that the action rarely slows down, but gets a bit wearisome. It's just a tougher sell with this many characters outside of the core group now. Mind you, the villain's too good to over-use at least.

The minor niggles are starting to pile up. Marvel really need a new way of ending a film, and while it's really well-handled as you might expect from Joss, character-overload for future installments is an issue. Oh, before I forget, it's not essential but definitely beneficial to be current with TV SHIELD.

Speaking of future installments, while the film feels like it's own chapter, it's also a massive bridge to the future of the entire Marvel project. There's enough signposts for it all to feel a bit clunky in places, especially come the end scenes. And the stingers are getting weaker - I used to love these!

Catch it at the cinema, cos it'll lose a lot of impact on a TV. And some of it's faults (IMO) might be more glaring.

Chelsea Handler: Uganda Be Kidding Me - She seems like one of these people who made a career out of being a fcuk-up, but I lol'd, and it's not often that happens with a female comedian, unfortunately

I intend to see it, but I really wanna watch the originals first, cos I don't really remember them since I was a kid!

Couple of friends have seen it, both very different tastes, both raved about it.
A safe bet, I'd say.
Think I'm going on Monday.

Captain Philips

Well acted, and quite engrossing, up to about 20 minutes from the end - which is where the DVD stopped working.

There are scratches all over it, and now I have to try to tell my mate that I didn't scratch it, when I return it.

"Kevin and I finally got to see the masterpiece that is Mad Max: Fury Road last night. This made my morning."

The same friend also has some shots of the Cap America film shooting near her...

Street Fighter; Assassin's Fist - Self-contained, utterly dull (after half an hour you've only seen four actors). Skipped through it on Netflix and it clearly doesn't get any better.

Video Games; The Movie - A bunch of talking heads tell you stuff you probably already know. You'd be better watching Youtube ffs.

Jen Kirkman (Netflix) - Great stuff. I'm fast coming to the conclusion that it's only UK female comedians that are a bit crap ;)
