I use iChat, but I rarely have the webcam on.

I'm on my .mac email address if you want to add me as a buddy.

I'm on iChat rarely, I believe the 'AIM' button and the bottom of my posts has my address attached...I used to use iChat a lot for video when I first got my Mac, but people I know have used it less and less.
I tend to use Skype for video, and even that's just for the purple one.

I thought aMSN only did video or sound?

There is also Skype, which works nicely with the camera - even on intercontinental distances.

I'm waiting for the new version of Trillian (which is a Windows based chat client) to come out. You create a single, central logon with Trillian and then add all of your chat accounts to it. Then, whenever you log on to the account, the client automatically logs on to all of the chat services you use. The new version promises an OS X client as well.

I've tried the Windows beta and it is very good. If the OS X client is as good, it will be my default client.

Adium's similar, you enter all the account logins you wish to use - you can select which one's you wish to log in automatically at boot - and then when you launch Adium it'll log you in to all the accounts you've activated.
I quite like Adium, but for video Skype's the fav. Not that I've got a working video camera at the moment though.

The difference is, I go to a new machine, install Trillian, log onto my Trillian account and all my other chat services are automatically logged in. I don't have to re-enter all the accounts and passwords again.

I haven't seen that on Adium, at least not yet.

OOoh ok - I didn't realise it was held server side somewhere. Sounds interesting.

Given I currently use 2 machines at home, a laptop at my girlfriends and my works machine, it is very useful having a single login. When I change passwords or add a new service, I only need to do it once... Or I will, once the OS X version is available.
