iPhone replaced. It misbehaved spectacularly in the shop. They wanted to try restoring it to run some diagnostics on it, and it just kept freezing and crashing. So it was replaced with no question.

my brother has continued health problems (chronic lung condition requiring frequent Xrays and injections).
Most months he can pay everything upfront (bankrolled by my parents) and get refunded ~ 90% of it by the PCT.
This month, the doctor he's seeing is a specialist, so he gets to dictate his fee. My brother has not to pay an extra 1000€ on top of the standard rate to see him.

If he doesnt pay, they let the condition degenerate. He is 21 ffs.

Just squashed a load of my shots into 1999.

It is best these days to stick 'em online somewhere else (your website?) and link to 'em.
Even Flickr has changed it's upload compression on all but the original images, so linking to the lower file sizes introduces artefacts not present in the actual photo.

I remember reading an article about how Flickr have changed compression earlier this year.

Just been handed a Change request to assess.

Me: I can't assess this - it's total bulls***
PM: Why?
Me: Item number one. Monthly Report (sent every Friday)

...

*laughter*

Me: Send it back and get them to write what they actually want in the same language that the rest of us are using

Retards - dumber than a second coat of paint

Normally I can't get a sensible pair of Adidas size 13.5 to save my life, but yet I've just spotted two pairs of size 19s.

Company management want us to record all time spent on tasks, if you don't record it, you will get a written warning.

Project manager won't assign new work packages to book against for non-customer related tasks "because you will book everything that isn't customer related to it."

Gah!

Know what always builds morale, in no way increases stress and totally rejects falsehoods? Stopping to record everything you've done!

Well that's a blindingly stupid decision. Virtually every task has some sort of generic admin sitting behind it.
Before I escaped into my current job we were getting an electronic timesheet system but even the idiots in charge accepted the need for non-chargeable admin and housekeeping tasks. The objective was to log 80% chargeable time so you had a buffer for housekeeping and also as a contingency if something went wrong and had to be repeated.

It's now avoidable with the plugin, haven't tested the actual site yet.
