It is a good idea. I forget which version it was but at least one iteration of OS X was available on a flash drive.

I must confess however that I hadn't realised the they were still going to have a 32-bit version of Win 10.
I guess given the hardware support they're offering they have to but I would have thought that the bulk of PC's could deal with the 64-bit version by now. Situation is a bit different for the Win 10 Mobile deely but on desktop/laptop?

Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) had an option to buy it on a USB drive, as well as online in the App Store. 10.7 was released 4 years ago in July 2011.

There's always been a way to roll your own, so to speak. Done it a few times. There's even a free app out there that'll build you your own USB installer.
I imagine Windows has probably been the same?

Dell contradicts Microsoft, says Windows 10 will be installed on PCs starting July 29 | TechRadar
http://www.techradar.com/news/software/ ... 29-1299222

Doesn't that just mean if you bought an 8 machine in the store that day you could likely ask for 10? Dell are in a slightly different position to, say, Currys.

Word of warning people... do not use 'cool toys' when in a car. You might crash it.

If any of you have seen a certain news story over the last couple of days you'll know what I mean :D
