The Lib Dems have strong LGBT links for a kick-off, and the last thing they need is further ructions in a supposedly liberal party over sexuality issues. Especially considering how many members are openly gay or have had dalliances. I had completely forgotten that the Lib Dems had a leadership contest until this news story cropped up. They’ve been very quiet about it.
