Tim Farron is new Lib Dem leader - BBC News

There's something about stalwarts being unhappy that gives you hope with a new leader.

The Libbers should basically become the 'old New Labour party' while Tory-Lite aren't looking ;)

The Lib Dems have strong LGBT links for a kick-off, and the last thing they need is further ructions in a supposedly liberal party over sexuality issues. Especially considering how many members are openly gay or have had dalliances. The press will have a field day if he doesn't kill this quick.

I had completely forgotten that the Lib Dems had a leadership contest until this news story cropped up. They’ve been very quiet about it.

Indeed. Especially when you consider that a quarter of those eligible to stand where taking part.

Lib Dem leader Tim Farron accused of 'illiberal' approach to gay rights | Politics | The Guardian

It's only a matter of time before the LGBT groups put the boot in and his own party will demand he makes a move.
