Looks like my new job in UAE has fallen through. :(
Bloody visa issues.

More entertaining emails to my Gmail account. This time, someone in the USA who shares my name is going to lose his car insurance if he doesn’t pay up in a couple of days.

The email contains a link, which includes not only the policy number but also his date of birth all in the clear. They should be using a random hash key for that.

Sent them my usual, polite, email about this, but reminding them that they should be verifying emails before they start using it. Right now, I could log in and get all kinds of data they hold. Possibly including payment details.

It’s always Americans who seem to do this. I’ve had a couple from the UK and one from Israel, but the huge majority are Americans.

Not even realising an Alien figure I bought had a stand in the packaging until today. Now wondering if my other figures (Predators) have such an extra...

Just tried Atom - the official code editor for Github.

It's absolute gash.

Gash was slang for rubbish when I was a lad. ;)

So I was at the doctors yesterday and got a prescription for something.
Yesterday was shopping day so was going to Tesco where they have a pharmacy. This would have been fine if I hadn't managed to leave the sodding prescription on my desk at work

Better luck this time.

Since when is it OK to say you're going to attend a catered event, not show up and when the host mentions it to laugh at them rather than apologising for not turning up?
