There's user after user online in the same position as me, one forum said Amazon are looking into it. And it seems a solution that works for one user does nothing elsewhere. Or you'll experience it in another browser, but not Firefox!

I've never experienced any problems with Amazon and I only ever use it with Firefox.

It even happens to those affected on Amazon.com. And it's only Amazon sites, nowhere else. Everybody's running the latest FF and what have you, and it's quite clear some of the users are savvy when it comes to browsers, javascript etc, yet they can't fix it.

I'd totally understand an add-on causing it, but it clearly isn't if disabling all of them gets the same effect. Plus it only affects Amazon. Might try it with FF on my tablet if I remember...

Same here in Windows and openSUSE.

You sure you're not getting throttled by your ISP or something?

Only happens on Amazon, plus it works fine on *spits* IE. Briefly killed everything that might slow it down, AV, cookies, the works. No joy.

Had another Google there. The problem, and variations of it, is inconsistent and goes back years on different browsers. Some of them even before they really had extensions!

Anyway, I've got it working reasonably well at the moment. It's just my luck that it's on a site I use every other day whether buying something or researching it.

I've moved into a flat recently, and I've still got boxes of accumulated crap back at the parents place.
It struck me that the car probably needed it's MOT doing.
Much rummaging for the history file, and yes, it's late.
Dropped her in this morning and all she needed was a replacement brake light. £40 later and I'm a happy chap.

Great stuff. Selling my mother's beloved Fiesta, got a potential buyer coming round tomorrow. My mechanic cousin looked it over the other day and replaced the battery for me and I've offered to take the buyer and the car to the MOT centre tomorrow. Hope she sails through too and goes to her lovely new home (a young family).

I now have a working bank account!

Somehow they managed get two profiles for me, one with my current account on it and one with the debit card... The card wasn't connected to the account, so it wouldn't let me withdraw any money! Went into the bank this morning and they sorted it all out very quickly, so I can now pay for the B&B and refuel the car! Yay!

Just had a second screen added to my PC setup at work.
Shame they aren't both the same type of display so there's an obvious colour shift between the two but I'm not doing anything colour critical so it's not massively important.

Two screens of the same model is no guarantee of colour match - I briefly had two Dell P2314s, same model, same revision and the difference was noticeable at default settings.

Just cleared the last outstanding document from my 'inbox' so everything is clear and up to date before I go on holiday and there's still another 15 - 20 minutes of the work day left.
I'd better keep schtum or someone will give me something to do.

Sat in the smoking lounge on the Hook of Holland ferry with a not-bad Murphy's and a double Jamesons while Mrs. Bucket gets herself to bed.

8-)

Edit: Smoke rings. I am SO on holiday
