Pure West here. I liked the over the top silliness of the whole thing.

I like the most recent batman films (Bale) but I do think he just plays Christian Bale regardless of the movie he's in. There aint much difference between his Batman and his John Conner.
Of the others I'd go with Keaton, he was the best of the lot from the previous lot of films. The later ones just ended up looking silly as the franchise descended iinto cartoon farce around them (even though I voted for West). If they'd gone for that look from the start it might have been better but the started dark and so well but then it went downhill.

I can't tell which cartoon is which so I didn't count any of them.

And where is the Pie option? There still space for it.

It happens when you add/remove poll entries, to stop the poll-creator skewing the results. :)

I've decided that, if you take the essence of the character over all his interpretations, Batman from the Animated Series is the one I'll vote for :D

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Good doggy! *pats dog on head*

I had to re-vote, but my decision stands. As funny as Del Boy was it was a one off and as such doesn't really count, in my mind at least.

I voted for Adam West as well. Plus the cheesy lines did it.

I agree that Clooney did a good Bruce Wayne - exuded charisma etc. But his Batman was utter pants.

Everytime I see Bale, I see the racist murder from Shaft (probably because I've seen it so many times), which kinda spoils things for me.

Vive la Del Boy.

All the others suck because Batman sucks.

I think a lot of people see his character from American Psycho, quite a few people I know do. I've never really understood that, though. I just see people onscreen as actors, not their previous role or personal life. And those people that accost actors because of their roles really need to get a grip
