That didn't work specifically, but it aided in finding the solution, thanks.
I was specifically looking for homepage (which pretty much every other web browser in the word has - EXCEPT CHROME!) so I went back in to the settings and I spotted the 'On Startup' section, which has a sub section - 'Open a specific page or set of pages'. *sigh*
Gee, thanks Google, for making something which should be straightforward really quite not so easy.

With them making money off it, I'd guess they'd rather you didn't change it :)

That's because the Google landing page is the home page of the Internet! Why would you want to use another page? ;)

I have this forum set as my start page.

I've been naughty and ordered a Panasonic Lumix LX100 to replace my Fujifilm X10. It's somewhat extravagant and off the back of buying a Pentax K3 II arguably insane. But... it has £200 cashback from Panasonic. That brought the price down to £340 which is a steal frankly.

The problem I have is that the camera is out of stock and the cashback ended yesterday. The shop have assured me that as I placed the actual order when the cashback offer was still on it'll be fine and I'll still qualify for cashback (when the camera eventually arrives) but I'm a little bit nervous about the whole thing.

By the time I find out if I can claim the cashback it'll be too late to send the camera back so I'm either going to get a bit of a bargain OR an absolute earful and months in the naughty corner from the wife.

Get it in writing?

Have a read of the T&Cs on the website. I had a brief look. You must have purchased before the promotion stopped. Also you need to wait 28 days before applying. Sounds like it'll be fine so long as you have a "date of purchase". Have you paid for it?

Money is not taken by the retailer until the item is dispatched but I spoke to someone at the store who spoke to the MD who said as the order was generated the contract has been entered into even though they don't have one yet to dispatch. The date of order will be the 6th September but the date on the purchase receipt I guess will be whenever they get around to dispatching the camera. They're adamant Panasonic will accept this. I'm more apprehensive.

Yes. Yes he does. Cos he really is a Tory scumsucker, so provenly incompetent even the Tories realised he was perfect for shafting the country then firing.
