Yeah, I remember all the deep thoughts before MoS was released lol. And that photo could nearly belong in Adam West's collection.

Some of those look laughable! Hope Affleck looks better onscreen... Cavill just looks like a sulky teenager as usual.

EXCLUSIVE: We Know Who Jena Malone Is Playing in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' (potentially large character spoiler)

See, that annoys me because they're (re)introducing all these amazing characters into what is likely to be a turd of a film :(

Everyone knows who Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent and Lex Luthor are. Most will know about Robin (though not necessarily which version). But the more characters you introduce, the more dilute everything becomes and you go from something good to something rubbish.

Man Of Steel 2 said to be on "permanent hold" | Den of Geek
http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/man-of- ... anent-hold

It's quite clear from the BvS trailer that they're still afraid to let him talk, so I wouldn't be surprised.

If George Miller is to direct a DC superhero film, I don't think it'll happen before he is done with the next Mad Max film.
That would likely be a couple of years away at this point, and half-way through the DC slate of films.
At that point it is highly likely that the fate of both Superman and Batman franchises would be an awful lot clearer than what it is now.
If George Miller does direct Man of Steel 2, I can fully understand why it isn't on the slate of films now.
Never say never with Hollywood, and in this instance I don't think 'permanent hold' is that permanent.
For a while now we have known that a lot will rest on the reception of Dawn of Justice, and not just for Supes and the Batman.

BvS has to hold up so much that you can't even compare it to something as grandiose as The Avengers. WB knows it needs a plan, but doesn't realise that you can still play these films straight so long as they have humour. Snyder is totally the wrong person for that, and for reasons I can't begin to fathom, they've given him the keys to the kingdom. I can only assume he presented them an entire business case before MoS was released, which was probably way more than they had to start with. I think they're so frightened of another Green Lantern that they're paralysed and Snyder became their only option in their terms. Hence Marvel in reverse.

All of that leaves little room for risky old Supes. He needs a soft reboot within the upcoming films just to function at all as a character. Can anyone really see Cavill as de facto leader of The Justice League at the moment? They keep presenting him as a confused child who'll have to stand alongside other gods and the world's most highly-functioning sociopath...

RUMOR: Warners Wants More Batman In 'Batman v Superman' — Heroic Hollywood | Comic Movies | Superhero | Movie News | Movie Reviews | Entertainment | DC | Marvel
http://heroichollywood.com/home-1/2015/ ... v-superman

Wouldn't surprise me, they still won't let Supes talk going by the trailers. I wouldn't be shocked if they make Bats the de facto leader of the Justice League at this rate, basically playing daddy to all the youngsters they're hiring for everyone else. Though they might struggle to explain the age of Wonder Woman story-wise.

But FFS, deliberately hobbling Superman? It actually makes me wonder how they'll portray Aquaman since he's traditionally a ruler and slightly arrogant if they do take the kids angle. Supes will be left crying laser beams in the corner.

They clearly already had most of the film mapped out in some fashion, so it really would be a dick move to now make Superman a cinematic nobody all over again. I dunno, maybe they'll hand him to a real director once Snyder's done with Justice League.

I'm hoping that this is just [LIFTED] rumours and that when the film comes out Superman is well on his way to becoming the boy-scout hero that we are more familiar with.
I'm hoping that, but I'll prolly be wrong and it'll basically be The Dark Knight Rises redux.

I agree. Even with the latest trailer they seem totally determined to plague him with self doubt, even though all he does is save people regardless. It doesn't even make sense in the films never mind logically. It's long past time to get away from the dark, and more Batman won't help there!

I loved Reeve's Superman. He was very charismatic. You see it in Cavill's face but they don't show it in the script. He really needs to be set up for the Justice League.

Yeah, because nobody's gonna get your Batman story unless you spell it out for them  , and you did such a good job with Supes' Earth parents.

And mythological? Really? He honestly seems to believe DC's pantheon is above everyone else, or wants to believe it.

All the ways the world hates Superman
Cool. So we're getting a new Batman film. That's nice.

Even with Brainiac Supes will probably still be asking his mom for advice if they can't keep Snyder out of it.

That just sounds like so much wishful thinking. But the 'not trusting Supes to carry his own show' at least rings true, so who knows...
