Mother dearest has a Samsung flip phone, some sort of white contraption, and it's not the one mentioned from Korea... It's so dull I've barely looked at it! It's basically 'like the time Nokia got colour games'.

I can certainly see a niche market for people who want sturdiness/continually drop their phone. Maybe older people, mostly. My guess is a lot of people prefer actual buttons. But profit-wise...

You still see them in loads of American TV progs too - I've never understood that.

I really liked slide phones.
I had a Nokia 8800 Sirocco, a Nokia 7110, a Nokia 8910i and some other one that I forget - but was also a Nokia.

I thought this was an article on the upcoming folding display phone that Samsung are supposedly producing for next year.
