Err, rather that’s what I was shown. Started reading the article, got to the end of the first paragraph and *boom* massive page covering ad for a game. No way to get out of it either.

I've found on the Cinema Blend site, you have to scroll back to the top of the page to close the ads that appear. At least that is what I have to do when using the iPad. Mark

FFS, and half the time they don't link to the original story otherwise I'd post that.

They also apparently gave away a massive spoiler if you take the synopsis at face value , so I'm not posting it here.

I wonder if Deckard will shoot first. Ridley Scott describes opening scene of Blade Runner 2. This actually sounds like a scene from a very early draft of the original that was later cut. There's storyboards on the DVD set very reminiscent of what's described at that link. Mark

Are you looking forward to it, a bit apprehensive, or both? Personally I'm quite interested as I'm not as invested in the first one as many are, and so I'd love to see it become a big, quality franchise set in that world.

Cautiously optimistic. *laugh* I want it to be good. I want it to be really good, but there's so many continuations of old films these days that I think it's hard not to get caught-up in a wave of nostalgia. There's a reason that the original film is as revered as it is, and while this film won't alter the first in any way, it will reflect on it, and that may not be such a good thing if it's a bad sequel. I wonder what audience the sequel will be marketed at.

NECA Display From New Jersey Comic Expo 2015 - The Toyark - News http://news.toyark.com/2015/11/22/neca- ... 015-182991I like the vehicles, but I can guarantee NECA will be doing much better versions if those sell. (I'm already awaiting those AvP figures and the egg carton)

Bloody Disgusting! Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ Will Focus On Newt?!By MrDisgusting on November 23, 2015@bradmiska Newt ALIENS image via FOX Here’s how to erase all of the Alien sequels from existence…
Right now all eyes are on Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel/Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant, which is shooting in February/March for release on October 6, 2017.
When Scott decided to focus solely on this franchise, it forced Fox to indefinitely delay Neill Blomkamp’s already announced Aliens sequel, which would bring Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn back, while ignoring the third and fourth films in the franchise.
Biehn spoke candidly with Icons of Fright, in which he reveals that Blomkamp will bring Newt back, while also using her to further the franchise (in a new direction).
“They’re planning on bringing me and Newt back and at this point Newt will be around twenty-seven years old. I know that every actress in Hollywood is going to want to play this one, it’s really a passing of the torch between Sigourney and this younger actress who would play Newt. It would keep the franchise alive and the studios would make money, because that’s what the bottom line is now: money.“ | | | | |

To be frankly honest, reviving Newt and Hicks is silly. Why not tell Amy’s story?

The very basic plot to Alien : Covenant has been outlined ... linkey that I read. I read that link before the one you (Ernie) posted above. Mark

Translucent Concept Big Chap Alien by NECA - The Toyark - News http://news.toyark.com/2015/12/01/trans ... eca-183796Make sure you click the link at the top. I'd need to see that finished and maybe in person as you never really know what you're getting with translucent NECA stuff. From those shots I'm not that fussed.

 | | | | Quote: Dan’s unique race: In the original screenplay the Alien is not an implied bioweapon but rather a member of a long extinct race who copulate within pyramid structures. Since the planetoid’s extinct alien inhabitants were capable of architecture and religion, the Alien, as initially conceived, was not to be an entirely hostile creature. As it ages, O’Bannon explained, the Alien “becomes more and more harmless. Finally, its blood-lust gone, the Alien becomes a mild, intelligent creature, capable of art and architecture, which lives a full, scholarly life of 200 years.” To add to the concept of the Alien becoming more intelligent and emotionally content as it matures, O’Bannon excused the Alien’s blood-thirst aboard the Nostromo as a sort of juvenile panic that, given the right environment, may have passed: “It’s never been subject to its own culture, it’s never been subject to anything except a few hours in the hold of the ship. Quite literally, it doesn’t have an education. The Alien is not only savage, it is also ignorant.” | | | | |
He used to turn up on Blue Peter. He also did the animal noises in The Good Life. https://alienseries.wordpress.com/2012/ ... passenger/
