In a couple of months or so, I'd have spent 1/3rd of my life in Manchester.

This year I will have spent just under 40% of my life living in Peterborough. Or, more worryingly, working for the same employer.

Coming over here, taking our jobs... Do you ever think about going back? I have this notion of going where nobody knows me, like Cheers in reverse

Would you want to work night-shift, by yourself, not talking to anyone in person, during winter not seeing daylight for up-to (sometimes more than) four weeks at a stretch - I haven't actually seen daylight since the 21st of November, and likely won't do again until after the 16th of December? Oh yeah, you'd have to fix I.T. Issues of some truly inept people. If so, pass me your details. (8+) No. I'd not consider going back to England now unless there was a very good reason to do so. I'm fully settled over here now, but I'm not saying never. Mark

Daylight? In Belfast? I've been a total night owl my whole life so night shift might actually suit me, but I dunno...

It is like Santa's Grotto vomited all over the desks here in work. *sigh* *shakes head*

Yeah, I've been in workplaces where colleagues tried to browbeat people into that crap. I don't mind Xmas, but enforced happiness sucks.

Uber's new app delivers food, not rides | TechRadar http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and ... es-1310876That's a clever idea.

Ernie, get up off yer fat arse and walk to the shops. (8+p Next you'll move downstairs in your parents house and install a serving hatch window so your deliveries come directly to you so you don't have to 'waste time' standing up. (8+D

Actually, it's odd you should say that, because I was talking the other day about how chippies don't seem to do deliveries for their food. Mark

Just about any chippie I've ever used in the past do - even John Dory's delivers now. Mind you, round here you can get all sorts delivered...
