Of the house in general... I'm nosey

More stuff done when I had a week off:

• remove catflap and temporarily seal gap (until I replace the door entirely)
• I tried to fix the boards under the cupboards but they don't fit right and one of them has been cut the wrong way to allow for the skirting board
• I've temporarily fixed the loose bathpanel by putting a kink in it which has reinforced one end and means it will tuck in properly. It's hidden by the sink too.
• discovered I have a floodlight for the garden (but can't work out why it won't work and can't work out where the switch is for it!)
• replaced broken plastic drain covers with new ones
• reseated all window seals. Probably need to replace them

We've got the Xmas tree up (photos once we've got a suitable tree topper). We've ordered our dining table: clicky and matching coffee table clicky. Am happy with the table, unsure about the seat colour and coffee table. Might be too "chunky".

But alas it's not going to arrive before Christmas so now toying with the idea of buying some folding furniture that we can use in the garden as well as indoors. Maybe something like this: clicky and this clicky

Careful with being too enthusiastic sealing droughty windows, or make sure you open the windows every day, even in winter, or you can get mould.

It was mainly appearance - that black strip in the double glazing had started to ease out and needed pushing back in. Most of the windows did TBH. When we get enough money together, the kitchen and utility will be rebuilt and we'll look at replacing the double glazing then.

Yep, we have insulated the roof and the windows were done years ago, apart from the main one in the lounge (2M x 5M single pain of glass! Which we replaced when we moved in). But my wife always airs the ground floor at least twice a day (garden door open for 5 minutes or so). We sleep with the bedroom window open upstairs, so that gets aired all the time - although in the first year she wouldn't turn the heating on in the bedroom, so we got mould in her corner of the bedroom - now we heat the room during the day and then have the window open at night.

Finally got our dining table and coffee table. Ordered in November from Multiyork.
