I cut mine down to size myself - getting a new SIM costs about 15€. Worked fine, but at 15€, I thought it worth the risk.

Shame they seem to have switched off my existing SIM card this morning and the new one hasn't arrived yet

Just walk in to the store & grab one. They'll give you one for free then get your number stuck on that sim

I never really though of Creme Eggs as an easter thing TBH. Proper easter eggs yes but weren't Creme Eggs always sold year round?

I'm pretty sure they normally take them off sale just after Easter and put them back on at the start of the following year although, as with a great many things they will no doubt be showing up earlier as time goes on.
Mind you, they appear to be a permanent feature of the Cadbury Hero's sweet selection.

Jeremy Vine's comments about 'man flu' did not breach equality rules, says BBC | Media | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/d ... me-dancing

Mad complaint there but I actually hate it when people say man flu now, especially when someone is clearly debilitated with a severe cold. And I've seen any amount of people with colds recently that gave them serious flu-like symptoms, with the cold taking weeks to fully shift after. It's becoming as bullsh1t an established phrase as haters gonna hate; it's just lazy thinking.

The whole 'man flu' thing is, at it's heart, chauvinistic and sexist. It's no more allowable really to talk about man flu than it is about women not being able to reverse park. However, if you make formal complaints about things like this (and it applies to women putting in formal complaints some times too)

a) You end up looking a bit of a tit
b) You end up if anything entrenching the idea in the public consciousness.

So what I tend to do is just put people who use the phrase 'man flu' in a derogatory way in the same bracket as I would people who make jokes about women drivers i.e. idiots who are not worth any time or attention.

I see on a similar note The Guardian is complaining Lego mini figures aren't representative of the disabled community...

All the Lego figures I had had upper a lower bodies, so you could make them "disabled" and plug them directly onto a board without any legs. Likewise there were faces with glasses and even a patch... And my brother ripped off an arm of one once, does that count?

I thought calling it man flu was self depricating. Like you're saying "I'm being a useless man and can't handle a little cold"

If it was a woman saying that the Guardian would wear out their 'patriarchy' button. No. Just no. You're allowed to be ill. The notion that a) you're somehow expected to 'tough it out' and b) this is somehow linked to your gender is the very definition of sexism. Just stop it. Yes, it's kind of silly but it's still demeaning to men.

Yours, someone who recently had a chest infection that meant I got two hours sleep a night which took four weeks and two courses of antibiotics to clear but still got accused of having 'man flu' i.e. of being a crybaby.

Yep - largely limited to the February - April period.

I only know because I wasn't aware and almost lost a bet because of it. I only "won" the bet by sourcing a whole box of the damn things mid October at an inflated price on Amazon.

Boxing Day sales rush in Belfast was the headline - I needed the exercise (bike) and thought I'd see if Forbidden Planet had a sale on. Not only didn't they, half the shops are closed, there's next to nobody about, and the roads are so empty I could cycle pretty much where I wanted.
