Read the packaging Davros!

Bought a duvet for my spare bed in the John Lewis sale. Walked out of the shop when my friend asked me how big my spare bed was. It's a double and I'd just bought a single duvet
Still, at least I hadn't got it home and opened it before spotting the mistake.

Pay more attention in future!

She was not happy about that.

I'm doing an online course and thought I had to complete all modules by this week as there's a deadline for an assessment next week. After doing a couple of modules, I did a bit of rooting around and discovered that I could do them at any point so long as they were completed by the end of the academic year. I then tried to look at the reading list and download the links only to find it downloaded a file with the reading list but no links so I can't access the reading material (all online).

I have to submit a 1500 word essay by Monday.

What is it with SD card ports on laptops randomly not working? I take it it's more a Windows Explorer issue than anything else?

Definitely not the card, it works fine when plugged in via a multi-card reader.

I've never had any problems (Fujitsu from 2008, Sony Vaio from 2010, Samsung Windows tablet from 2012 and a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 from, 2014).

On occasion, I've had to update drivers for card readers so it will recognise more/newer cards.

Up until now it's worked perfectly in this laptop. I'll try it again later now it'll have been restarted.

I've had this happen before with laptops with different cards from different cameras. Seen it happen on my mate's too, can't fathom it. If it persists I'll Google it. Can still read the card one way or another, it's just annoying.

I have an external USB multi-card reader that refuses to be recognised in Windows UNTIL I insert a card. Weird.

Israeli reporter stabbed while demonstrating stab-proof vest | World news | The Guardian

You have to wonder where they were stabbed that wasn't protected, I mean if it was a demonstration they hopefully didn't stick it in the shoulder bit or something lol.

I got that - we had a power cut over night during the ChrIstmas break, and when I started up the PS4, it had to go through that process.
